Shipping & Returns

***PLEASE READ THIS IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE BUYING***

Please ensure your chosen delivery address is the tattoo shop you work at. Delivery to a business allows us to ensure the safety of your order by making a signature compulsory and a higher level of insurance available.

If the order is sent to a residential address, the courier can leave the order without a signature, meaning there is no cover in the event of a loss.

In light of this, we will no longer be covering the costs in the event of any loss to any deliveries made to a residential address. Deliveries to a residential address are at your own risk.

To avoid issues, the safest option is to request delivery to your tattoo shop.

Postage price:

UK £9.90.

Rest of the world £30.

Shipping is the same price for multi buy, so no extra cost.
Within the UK, we aim to have all machines shipped within 3 working days (Monday-Friday) and are sent DHL for a next working day delivery.

Rest of the world orders: we aim to have the machines shipped within 3 working days.  Due to being abroad, we cannot assure the speed in which they will arrive.  Packages will be sent with DHL tracked & signed and aim to deliver from 2 days to 1 week (Currently longer due to Brexit and covid 19) depending on where you are in the world, so please allow this if you wish to purchase something as a gift.

Due to the new rules of Brexshit, orders outside the UK will now have a customs charge.  The amount will depend on the price of the machines, and what country you live. If a machine is bought and you decline the machine due not wanting to pay the customs charge and have it sent back, we will incur that fee. That will be taken out of your refund along with the postage costs and a refund of what is left will be made.

How to look after your machine:

Plain Brass/Slimline/Springer (ultimate warrior)/I.D liner

All of these models can be chosen with:

3.5mm cam (range/ needle groupings 1-9 rl, 5-13 mag)

-4.2mm cam (range /needle groupings 1-18 rl, 5-25 + mags)

 Optimal running voltages are:

-12v motor SL/PB/UW. 6v-9v

-6V MOTOR I.D Liner 3.5V-6V

Available in Clip Cord or RCA

Machines are made from brass and anodised aluminium.

Moving parts: The piston is the cream plastic part that runs inside the guide system at the top of the frame.

This will need a small drop of lubricant (once or twice a week) depending on the use and sound of the machine. This will keep the piston smooth running. We recommend 3-in-one oil/superlube or food grade oil.  (Not petroleum jelly).

*DO NOT LUBRICATE THE BEARING OR MOTOR*

Only one drop* in the top of the machine (as arrows show below) where the piston is will be enough.  Do this as and when necessary (starting to look dry or sound a bit noisy) or 1-2 times a week.

*Please don’t add too much oil as it will spill into the bearing and motor and cause running issues or fire.

We recommend a tiny drop of oil on the thumb screw thread every few months to keep the thread moving and to avoid it seizing.

We also recommend the machine be covered with tattoo machine bags, eliminating any hygiene or Health and Safety issues.

Recommended power supply/batteries for Rotaryworks tattoo machines are ones that run a power supply at 3amps minimum.  RCA models will run most batteries on the market as we have no microchips in any of our machines, so they are universal to most power supplies and batteries. We will not be responsible if some do not run our machines.

Direct Drive/All Cart machines/The Tron/@55/The 22 and Hybrid machines.

These DO NOT need any lubrication.  Adding any will break the machine.

 -Adjustable cam range 3mm/3.5mm/4mm/4.2mm cam

-Cart machine system 3.2mm/4.0mm

-Micro direct/Tron 3.5mm/4.2mm

-Direct drive 12v 3.5mm/4.2mm

3/3.2/3.5mm needle groupings 1-9 rl, 5-13mag

4.0mm/4.2mm needle grouping 1-14rl, 5-41 mag

Optimal running voltage :

-Custom made 12v motor 5-9 volts

-Direct drive 12v Mfa motor 4-8 volts

Machines are made from brass and anodised aluminium.

Moving parts: (cams only) these machines are almost maintenance free.  No need for any oil or grease as they are mainly direct drives (except the Tron which runs an armature bar but also does not need any lubrication except for the threads of the Cart/Hybrid).  We also recommend a smear of food grade grease on the threads inside the cap and on the threads of the machine to keep it moving nice and smooth and avoid it seizing up.

We recommend the machine be covered with tattoo machine bags to eliminate any hygiene or Health and Safety issues.

Recommended power supply/battery:

Recommended power supply/batteries for Rotaryworks tattoo machines are ones that run a power supply at 3amps minimum.  RCA models will run most batteries on the market as we have no microchips in any of our machines, so they are universal to most power supplies and batteries. We will not be responsible if some do not run our machines.

*DO NOT LUBRICATE BEARING or MOTOR*

The Pen 2

-3.2 mm needle groupings 1-7 rl, 5-9mag

-4.0mm needle grouping 1-12 rl, 5-19 mag

-4.5mm needle grouping 7-18 rl, 9-25+ mag

Optimal running voltage custom made 12v motor is 5-12 volts

Please note, if you have the 4.5mm cam this will need to start at 7v just to get going then can be taken down to 5v+ if required.

Machine is made from anodised aluminium.

Moving parts: (cart rod plunger) that runs inside the guide system in the pen will need a small drop of food grade grease once or twice a month (depending on the use and sound of the machine). This will keep it running smoothly.

Also recommended is a smear of grease on the threads inside the bottom part of the pen. This will keep the click system smooth to turn and keep it well maintained.

We recommend the machine be covered with tattoo machine bags then cohesive grip tape to eliminate any hygiene or Health and Safety issues.

Recommended power supply/battery:

Rotaryworks Pens run best on a power supply at 3+amps minimum and will run with most wireless batteries on the market. We have no microchips in any of our machines so they are universal to most power supplies and batteries. We will not be responsible if some do not run our machines.

*DO NOT LUBRICATE THE BEARING OR MOTOR*

New motors and bearings can be bought on our website in the general spares section.

Keeping your new Rotary Works machine fresh and new can be very simple by using Brasso to buff it up.

Troubleshooting:

If your machine is sounding loud, first make sure the cam hasn’t slipped on the motor spindle.  You can do this by undoing the small m3 grub screw on the side of the cam and moving it up or down until you find the ‘sweet spot’.  It may take a few attempts.

If that hasn’t worked and the noise is still there and there’s also a gristly noise, then the bearing may have blown and will need to be replaced.

With the Springer model, please check the spring as they can break and cause noises and running issues.  Spares can be bought on our website too.

How to fitting/fixing guides can be found by clicking the link below here on our YouTube channel:

How to fix your plain brass, retro ali, Slimline and Springer Mk2

How to fix your ID Liner

Please contact us via email rotaryworksmachines@gmail.com or our Facebook page to find out if a bearing can be sent to you for repair or whether it needs to be sent to us for the repair.

If the bearing has blown and you keep running the machine, the nipple will begin to move from side to side and wear the guide down and this will require a new guide (which you will have to pay for) or a new frame (only older round piston ID liner machines).

 Machine service:

We DO NOT offer a machine cleaning service.  It is up to the owner of the machine to maintain cleanliness.

We charge for parts that are needing to be changed if they are worn and we ask that the postage costs be paid for both ways. (Unless fault is with the machine early in its life where we will not charge).

Any other questions or queries please feel free to contact us.
